We're industry veterans who spent years watching small businesses struggle with software designed for someone else. So we decided to build the tools we always wished existed.

Our story

We know the problem
from the inside.

Between us, we've spent decades working across enterprise software, product design, and the kind of scrappy small businesses that make up the backbone of the economy. We've seen the same story play out too many times: a small team adopts a tool that promises to change everything, only to find themselves buried in configuration menus, locked out of features they need, and paying more every year for things they don't use.

The best tools we ever worked with weren't the most powerful ones — they were the ones that got out of the way. The ones that let you start work in minutes, not days. The ones your team actually opened every morning without dreading them.

That's what we're building at Unfussy.Tech. Simple, powerful tools that small businesses can pick up instantly — so they can focus on the work that matters, not the software meant to support it.

We believe small businesses should be able to compete on equal footing with the big guys. Not by throwing money at enterprise platforms, but by having access to lean, smart tools that punch above their weight. That's the promise we're building toward, one product at a time.

"I have spent my entire career loving productivity tools. I genuinely love the idea of software making me dramatically more efficient. Which makes it all the more frustrating that almost every tool I've tried has let me down."

I've lost count of the CRMs and task managers I've trialled over the years. The story is almost always the same: I sign up full of optimism, spend weeks getting to grips with it, discover the one feature I actually need is locked behind a more expensive plan, and quietly give up before I've convinced anyone else on the team to adopt it.

I know power users exist — the people who live inside these tools and genuinely love them. But most of us aren't power users. We just want to get our work done.

The problems we set out to fix:

2Step pricing that punishes you. The one feature that would actually help? It's always one tier above what you're paying.
3Getting anyone else on board. If it's hard for me to learn, it's nearly impossible to drive adoption across a team.
